DG Smart Plan pt 2 - Like

Here's a little bit more info from my previous post. Ever since DiGi started to advertise about thier new Smart Plans and bundling it Blackberry and also the new HTC Legend, everyone's going crazy for it. Especially for the HTC Legend. You can get this phone from as low as RM999 with 24 months contract and RM1399 with 12 months contract.


Basically, if you're interested in going for the 24 months contract, you need to pay RM999 for the phone + RM500 deposit (which will be used for your monthly bills) + RM68 for the data unlimited. So in total, you need to pay RM1567. Remember, the RM500 deposit will cover your first few months of bills, depending on your usage. However if you choose the 12 months contract, then you buy the phone for RM1399 + RM300 (deposit) +RM68 data unlimited. Same as the 24 months details. Your deposit will cover your usage till it depletes, then you continue paying for your usage. They also offer smart save. Below is a quote I got from a forum. Just a rough idea on what you'll be paying depending on your usage.

example 1

68 + phonecalls/sms/mms(150) = RM68 + RM150 = RM218

so RM218 is above the RM200, which u will get FREE internet Unlimited

So the the amount u need to pay is RM218 - RM68 = RM150

example 2

68 + phonecalls/sms/mms(50) = RM68 + RM50 = RM115

so RM115 falls under the 25% discount 

so the amount that u need to pay is  (RM68-25%) + 50 = 51 + 50 = RM101

example 3

68 + phone calls/sms/mms(20) = RM68 + RM20 = RM88

you have to pay RM88 

Not a bad deal if you need internet connection on the go constantly and not forgetting the HTC Legend. I know a lot are also waiting to see if DiGi will release the Desire. I think they will. It's just a matter of time.
